Deer Creek-Mackinaw CUSD 701Bus Drivers

Bus Rules

Safety of our students is top priority.  The Deer Creek-Mackinaw School District Board of Education has adopted the following rules for all busses.  These rules are in effect for both the shuttle runs and the route runs.

1.        While waiting for the bus, stay away from traffic and approach the bus only after it has stopped.

Be on time for the bus.

2.       Do NOT leave your seat while the bus is moving.

3.      Keep the bus aisle clear at all times.

4.      No loud talking or other noise.  Be especially quiet at the railroad crossings.

5.      Do not lower the windows below the safety lines.  Keep hands, head, and feet inside the bus.

6.      Do not damage the bus.  Students will be required to pay for deliberate damage.

7.      Do not throw anything in or out of the bus at any time.

8.      Busses will stop at designated stops only.  Do not ask the driver to stop at other places.

9.      No walkmans or hand held games should be used on the bus.

10.    No singing, clapping, or feet stomping.

11.    Keep pencils and pens in book bags.  Reading materials is the only material that can be out.

12.    Riding the bus is part of being in school.  All school rules apply on the bus.

This includes hands to yourself, no bad language, no eating, no drinking, and no littering.

13.    The bus driver and the bus monitor are in charge while you are on the bus.

Failure to obey their instructions or any improper behavior will result in disciplinary action.

This can include loss of the privilege to ride the bus.
